It's Essential

Hey gorgeous! My name is Mika, call me that unless I approve of any nickname you give me. The name of the page, this is why we walk, is actually an inside joke. One of my younger brothers can't seem to just walk. He's alway running; he runs in the halls, the kitchens, the bedrooms, inside, outside, everywhere. It's riduculous. Half of the time he runs into a wall or bumps into someone, and then I say, "this is why we walk". So, I thought it was a clever name, plus it gives me a nice laugh. Anyway, this blog is basically for all the random things I like to talk about, show, read, and so on.

But really, I made it so I could post the sets I make on Polyvore; and also of sets that I admire created by other Polyvore members. If you have no idea what this Polyvore is, it's a site where you "mix and match images from anywhere on the web, to create outfits, interior designs, or any kind of collage". It's quite some fun and passes the time if you're filled with boredom. But don't just take my word for it, try it out for yourself. Polyvore.

So like I mentioned before, I'll be posting sets that I've made here. I think I'll start with one of my favorites.

I love this. I titled it Take me to the city of lights because I had NYC on my mind. I'm still not sure if it really has the NYC feel but I hear you can wear whatever you want and nobody will look down on you. So, to me, it's like you can express yourself through fashion and not worry about some stuck up chick crossing you! Lol
